Activities:
READ, READ, READ!!! You are the best
example for your child. Show them that you too are a reader. * Read whatever you like, but please read in front of your child. * Read to them every day for at least 10
minutes, even if it is a grocery store add. * Bring back the
classics! Teach your child Nursery Rhymes like Hey Diddle Diddle, Mary Had a Little Lamb,
and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!
Math practice is
a simple activity that can be done anywhere
and without buying anything special!! * Count pennies,
cereal, candies, spoons, forks, knives, chairs, windows, doors, etc. * Locate shapes
in the environment, the house, when driving in the car.
Talk to/with your children: Tell them about your day, ask about
their day. Encourage them to talk in complete sentences and to ask for things in sentences. The more they talk,
the better writers they will become! | |
